The Magnus lateral aluminum tripod is designed for photographers and videographers who need flexible camera positioning for general photography, video, outdoor shooting, sports, wildlife, macro work, document capture, artwork reproduction, and product photography.

Its three-way pan-and-tilt head provides controlled horizontal and vertical camera movement, with independent locking controls for added stability. The camera platform can switch between landscape and portrait orientation, while the proprietary quick release plate uses a universal 1/4"-20 mounting screw for compatible cameras and equipment.

The aluminum tripod supports up to 10 lb of camera equipment and reaches a maximum working height of 70 inches. With the center column lowered, the tripod reaches 59 inches, while its minimum working height is 21.4 inches. It closes to 23 inches for storage and transportation.

The removable center column provides multiple shooting configurations. It can be converted into a five-section monopod with an adjustable working height from approximately 17 to 62 inches, giving photographers a mobile support option for sports, wildlife, outdoor, and macro photography. The column can also be installed laterally at 90 degrees, allowing the camera to extend horizontally over a subject for copy work, document photography, artwork capture, tabletop photography, and macro applications.

Four-section telescoping aluminum legs use flip-lock joints for quick height adjustments. A locking center leg brace adds reinforcement, while rubber feet provide grip on smooth surfaces and accommodate uneven terrain. An integrated ballast hook allows additional weight to be attached for extra stability in windy or challenging conditions.

Foam padding on one tripod leg provides a comfortable grip during transport and helps make handling easier in cold or wet weather. The tripod has a black finish and weighs 3.6 lb for a balance of portability and stable camera support.
